So I recently got my dream camera - A Nikon D300 DSLR :) It's stinkin' amazing! So I thought I would take the time to post a couple of pictures that I took recently with it :)

One is at a campfire I had with my dad a couple of weeks ago - I wanted to see how the color was in low light, and I must say I was very pleased with the results :)

The other is out on the shore of Lake Huron at about 7:30 at night - I used spot metering to expose for the midtones and create a silhouette of the rocks and bring out the color of the blue sky....

So I realize it has been an incredibly long time since I posted anything on here.....life happens, what can I say?

So, since I have a lot of time this weekend working the boring Radiology front desk, I thought I would throw a couple of my black and white photos up here - I hope that those few people that know about this blog enjoy them :)

*The far right picture was taken at the base of a huge dune on Lake Michigan (Pyramid Point).

On the top left is simply a line of maple trees that I thought was quite picturesque when I was taking a walk through the woods last week :)

And bottom center is a picture that I took about a year and a half ago when I went with a group down to Mississippi to help with the Katrina Aftermath - this man's house was completely torn apart and his belongings strewn everywhere....crazy stuff.

So I was searching through some old pictures I had, and I found some for a couple years ago that I took while I was working out in Alberta....I just thought they'd be fun to post up here :) And if you guys ever get a chance to get out to the Canadian Rockies - do it!

Okay, so this picture is a bit newer....as in this past Fall "New". I moved to Traverse City back in August, and my house is just off the bay. So, since I love mornings so much, I decided to head out to the aby and watch the sunrise one morning. This was the result of my adventure :)

I took this in Frankfort this summer - Good ol' Lake Michigan and the Point Betsie lighthouse :)

It's a bit dark - but that was kind of the day it was, too...gotta love storms :)

Okay, so this is my first post. I apologize in advance as it will be boring. I'm still trying to figure this whole thing out - and seeing as I am not an Art student and don't really have anything interesting art-wise to put up here, I will have to improvise a little.

Have no fear, though, I refuse to go into the details of my personal life and bore you all to death.

I may put a few pictures that I've taken up once I figure out how to do that...until then, enjoy my nonsense :)
